Baptism, or Christening as it also known, is the rite through which children and adults become Christians and members of the Church. The baptism/Christening can take place either within the main Sunday service or as a stand-alone service. The stand-alone service is shorter and can be held at a mutually convenient time, usually at a weekend.

While it is most common for children to be baptised when babies, adults of all ages can be baptised after a short course of preparation.  If an older child or adult wishes to be confirmed they must have been baptised before being confirmed.

Please contact Revd William Burke ([email protected]) if you wish to discuss a baptism.
