Welcome to The Tew Benefice

Due to the current high rates of Covid infection in the area we have taken the difficult decision to suspend services at St Michael & All Angels, Great Tew & St John the Evangelist, Little Tew until the end of February. We want all the members of our congregations to remain as safe as possible and will continue to review the situation. St Nicholas, Heythrop will continue to have a service on 14th February.

Please note St John the Evangelist will continue to be opened daily from 10am-3pm for private prayer.

The Tew Benefice is currently in a period of interregnum.

As the Church Wardens, it’s our great pleasure to welcome you as you visit our website. We hope you will get a sense of the open and friendly community at each of our three churches and join us for Sunday worship whenever you can.

These are living churches putting God at the heart of our rural communities and we welcome inquiries for baptisms, weddings, funerals and other pastoral matters. Please don’t hesitate to contact us on [email protected] if you have any questions. In addition to its services, each church has an interesting history.
