Following the Palm Sunday Service, Revd Ginny Thomas updated the congregation on the project to bring water to the church and to improve facilities. The design work has been completed by Acanthus Clews and following visits from the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC) the plans were reviewed at their April meeting. In principle these have now been approved with some remarks about certain aspects to be reviewed, such as the pitch of the roof for the extension and the new position of the font.
We are preparing to submit the updated plans to West Oxfordshire District Council for planning permission in the next few weeks and hope to receive their go-ahead by mid-summer. We have received some generous donations to support the ongoing planning work, but will need to approach grant making bodies once planning permission is approved.
